Recently went to Homespun with friends and although the food wasn't all that bad the place is really run down and rather dirty. The worst part was we witnessed a huge argument between a man (I think he was an owner) and a customer. While the customer did get a bit over the top it was totally because of the attitude and behavior of who I believe was the owner. The owners attitude carried over to when we went up to pay our bill and I told him we wouldn't be back because of how he was treating us and others.

We haven't been back since I got some bad fish - bad like in food poisioning. I refused to pay for the bill and even after they were informed that I had gotten food poisioning from the fish they continued to call demanding payment. I heard the restaurant now has new owners but I can't confirm it. At one time it was a very good place to eat, but things took a turn for the worse and both the food and service went from very good to worse then poor. On our last visit there the place was so dirty I kept looking for bugs.

Health department should shut it down. Every where you look is filth and you use the restrooms at your risk. Poor quality food and service. Avoid if you value you health.

This is the absolute best Breakfast restaurant I have ever been to. the portions are big and the prices are low. The food itself is amazing. I have never had a bad meal at Homespun. The staff is very friendly too. My favorite breakfast meal there is the Biscuits and Gravy. It truly is the best I have ever had.....even beats my Mom's and my Grandma's. I no longer live in the Battle Creek area but whenever I come home, I go to homespun. Just a side note The lunch there is great too. You can't go wrong, as long as you go to Homespun.
