I have heard a million great things abour Captain Lueys so I was expecting wonderful seafood...What I got, however, was not what I ordered and cold when I actually got my food. The waitress was very unprofessional (she had been working their a week, knew absolutely nothing, and they put her on on Valentines Day! ???) and didnt even seem to care that my order was wrong - in fact, she avoided our table and we had to call another waitress over...The hush puppies were good though...key lime pie tasted store bought with a green jelly swirled on the plate - way low budget...overall....NOT impressed. Have a backup plan!

The only thing I can fine wrong with this resturant is that there is not one in my home town. I drive over twice a month and it is always worth the drive. Love this place...now if I can get them to stay open later on Sunday...

MY WIFE AND I, AS WELL AS OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN HAVE BEEN REGULARS FOR THREE YEARS. QUANTITY OF FOOD IS ALWAYS TOO MUCH, PRICES ARE REASONABLE FOR THE EXCELLENT QUALITY OF FOOD. STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL, THE LIGHT BREADING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE, NOT HEAVY TO HIDE THE FLAVOR OF THE FISH. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT.

I think Captain Luey's is the best resturant I have been to that serves seafood in ages. I actually feel like I am home again and that I finally have a chance to eat good southern seafood. I like the atomsphere and the service is wonderful. The people are friendly and I love the fact I can go in and have a meal without having to worry about a buch of people sitting around drinking or smoking to bother my meal!!!

It is the most authentic eastern style seafood in the state. The seafood is extremely fresh. Everything is made to order and hand breaded in house. There are many grilled options availabe as well. The grilled salmon is to die for. The hushpuppies are out of this world! They even have that sweet southern tea. It is a rare find in a city that lacks any knowledge about seafood.
